Budget Work Started With One Simple Question

Back in 2019, I was sitting in a small office in Thanh Hóa when a friend who owned a manufacturing business asked me something that stuck with me. She wanted to know if her operational costs were normal compared to others in her industry.

Turns out, she wasn't alone in wondering this. Most business owners I talked to had the same curiosity but no real way to get answers. They could hire expensive consultants or just guess based on whatever they heard at industry meetups.

That gap felt like something we could actually help with. Not through fancy software or complicated reports, but through straightforward education about how budget benchmarking works and why it matters.

What We Actually Teach

Our programs focus on giving people the skills to analyze their own budgets against industry standards. You'll learn how to collect meaningful data, identify what matters in your specific context, and make comparisons that actually help with decision-making.

We don't promise transformation or breakthroughs. What we do offer is a structured approach to understanding where your money goes and whether that makes sense for your situation.

Who This Is Really For

Most of our students are mid-career professionals who handle budgets at work. Some run small businesses. Others work in finance departments and want to expand their practical skills beyond what they learned in formal education.

The common thread is they're dealing with real budget decisions and want better tools to evaluate whether they're on track. Our September 2025 cohort already has enrollment from manufacturing, retail, and service industries across Vietnam.

How We Approach Teaching This Subject

Budget benchmarking sounds dry, I know. But when you're the one trying to figure out if your IT spending is reasonable or your marketing budget is bloated, it becomes pretty interesting pretty fast.

Real Case Studies

Every module includes actual examples from Vietnamese businesses. We've changed identifying details, but the numbers and situations are real. You'll see how a Hanoi-based retail chain approached benchmarking differently than a tech startup in Ho Chi Minh City.

Guided Practice Sessions

Theory only gets you so far. Our weekly practice sessions let you work through benchmarking exercises with your own data or sample sets we provide. The instructor is there to answer questions as they come up, not just lecture at you.

Industry-Specific Context

What matters in manufacturing budgets is different from what matters in services. We break participants into industry groups for parts of the curriculum so you're comparing apples to apples and learning from people facing similar challenges.

Meet Your Lead Instructor

Lead Instructor, Budget Benchmarking Programs

What I appreciate about teaching this subject is watching people realize their budgets aren't broken, they just need better reference points. Most finance education focuses on accounting mechanics or investment theory. But budgeting is where most business decisions actually happen.

I try to bring that practical perspective to every session. Before teaching, I spent eight years managing budgets for a manufacturing group, so I've been in the position of wondering if we were spending sensibly or just following habits from previous years.

Outside of class, I consult with a few local businesses on financial planning and speak at regional business forums when topics align with what I know.
